Women Talk Community

ppwomen_talk15In July of 2015, Pikes Peak Women organized the presentation of a series of powerful messages on critical aspects of community life, voiced by our friends and neighbors. Southern Colorado leaders with compelling ideas for organizing strategies, brand identity and local image, leadership pipelines, jobs and much more were invited to submit those ideas and share them in a live video format at Library 21C.

In the style of TED Talks, these Pikes Peak Women TALK Community presentations were juried, pre-selected and videotaped, then archived and made available by the Pikes Peak Library District. The lineup included remarks by:

Renita Wolf | Art Appreciation, Creativity & Innovation |
Michelle Vacha | Senior Oral Health & Systemic Disease |
Jody Alyn | Diversity, Equity & Inclusion |
Lisa Dowis & Sallie Clark | Policy Advocacy & Engagement |
Carrie Howell | Native American Leadership & Culture |
Jennifer Roberts | Private vs. Public Water Ownership |
Aubrey Day | The Health & Social Benefits to Walking |
Courtney Stone | Communicating a Different Set of Values |
