Powerful Women: September 27

Our Powerful Women Series continues with UCCS Chancellor Emerita Pam Shockley-Zalabak, who will share her inspirational personal journey from classrooms to board rooms. Recently retired from a 40-year university career path, Pam has been pivotal to the growth and strength of the community on a number of fronts – from successfully guiding UCCS through the worst financial crisis in its history (and on to becoming the state’s fastest-growing campus), to helping launch the National Cybersecurity Center.

Dr. Shockley-Zalabak is President of CCI, Inc., and consults with nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions to build high-trust and performance environments. She has authored nine books and over 100 articles and productions on organizational communication, and remains on the faculty of the UCCS Department of Communications.  Join us for her insights and perspectives on the future of higher education and nonprofits in a volatile political climate.

We’ll meet-and-greet with our speaker at 5:30 pm, followed by remarks scheduled promptly at 6:00. Attendance is FREE with your courtesy RSVP (by 09/25) – to: pikespeakwmn@gmail.com.

Library 21C is at 1175 Chapel Hills Drive, just north of Jamboree, and you’ll park on the upper level off Chapel Hills Drive.
